Institute of Polymer Chemistry and Physics, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Main directions of research:


-fundamental and applied research of natural and synthetic polymers, nanocomposite materials;
- synthesis and research of biologically active synthetic and natural polymers and their derivatives for medicine, veterinary medicine and agriculture;
- studies of the kinetics and mechanism of chemical modification of polymers;
conducting in-depth research in the field of nanocomposite polymer materials in order to meet the needs of various sectors of the economy and the national economy of Uzbekistan.
- creation of alternative energy sources of the third generation based on polymer;
- development of new and improvement of existing technologies for the synthesis and processing of synthetic and natural polymers, including nanopolymers.

 

The institute has created and is developing world-famous scientific schools:


-scientific foundations in the field of synthesis and modification of synthetic and natural polymers, incl. directional nanopolymers, creation of biologically active synthetic and natural polymers and their derivatives for agriculture and veterinary medicine under the leadership of Academician S.Sh. Rashidova;
- the basics of creating biologically active synthetic and natural polymers for medicine - Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. A.A. Sarymsakov;
- scientific foundations of obtaining nanostructured compositions and composite polymer materials based on synthetic and natural polymers - Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. N.R. Ashurov.

Pilot production for the creation of pilot batches of high-tech new technologies for agronomic drugs and medical products.
